Urban AGRI Grant

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture Urban AGRI grant was awarded to Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College to provide additional support for our student led demonstration garden. Total award: USD $50,000

NOAA Environmental Literacy Program

This grant assists Ojibwe youth in cultural reclamation through specific and intention program outreach. We are able to assist 40 students and educators in Anishinaabe curriculum and outreach. Total Award: USD $494,236.00

North Central SARE Research & Education

With this grant we are able to continue supporting Native American farmers and producers as their land reclamation efforts. We are also engaged in Wild Rice hull mulch research to test the efficacy of the byproduct of manoomin harvest, a sacred food. Total Award: USD $250,000

Minnesota Department of Agriculture

The Fond du Lac Ojibwe School and Master Gardener designed an outdoor kitchen and demonstration space for students and Elders to share in community. This grant provided funding for infrastructure to expand and install a pizza oven. Total Award: USD $15,875

Natural Resources Conservation Service Conservation Equity

This grant assists Native American producers by providing outreach, education, materials, and infrastructure for their nascent and emerging farming businesses located in Cloquet, MN. Total Award: USD $426,900

USDA Children, Youth, Families At Risk (CYFAR)

The CYFAR Grant from the USDA provides funding for our Gikinoo’wizhiwe Onji Waaban seasonal camps with Anishinaabe Youth. Total Award: USD $646,000

Washington Tilth

As part of my work with Portland Food Lab, I worked with a local Lamb purveyor to expand their barn and riparian zones for the upcoming season. Total Award: USD $10,000
